Are you considering a board assignment? Get an introduction to the role and challenges of a board director and understand if you want to become one yourself.

How does it work to join and participate in a board? What are the challenges? Which of your own experiences are particularly helpful if you are looking for a board assignment? What new skills will you learn from the board activity that can be helpful for your current role? In this co-produced workshop with Board Owl you will get the answers to those questions from an experienced board director and have the chance to practice in a “simulated board meeting” with real case examples.

Format

  • Half day workshop, 09:00 – 13:00 followed by networking lunch
  • Half a credit per participant.
  • Additional credits can be bought for 650 CHF per participant

Pauline Lindwall has worked with some of the most recognised global Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brands at Nestlé and Mondelez and has international experience from Sweden, the UK, Denmark, Indonesia, Germany and Switzerland. She currently sits in the boards of Huhtamaki (Finland), Cloetta (Sweden) and European Innovation and Technology of Food (Belgium). She also works as senior advisor.

Donald Waterreus

Advisory Board Member at Board Owl

With multi-decade experience in the finance industry, acquired in the major financial capitals of Europe, Donald has worked for renowned and very different banks. He started his career as an interest rate trader for Mees Pierson in Amsterdam. Then he moved to Zurich to assume the roles of Treasurer and Head of Products at ABN AMRO (Schweiz). In 2006 he joined UBS to become Global Head of Investment Advisory for its wealth management division. In 2015 Donald was appointed COO of Bank Pictet’s private bank in Geneva.

Renowned for his ability to unearth the essence of an issue and for his direct communication style, Donald was destined to become a part of Board Owl’s mission as an Advisory Board Member.


Donald studied international management at the Hogere Economische School of Amsterdam. During his career he completed the Executive Development Program at INSEAD in 2002. In 2020 he obtained the Harvard certification as a FinTech professional.

Jillian MacNab DART Advisory Board

Jillian MacNab started her career as an attorney at Bär & Karrer in the banking and corporate law practice.

Graduating with a MBA from RSM Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University with a focus on finance brought her into the financial industry, where she gained experience as a lawyer with UBS, as senior counsel and member of the executive committee at Goldman Sachs in Zürich, and in various compliance roles at Credit Suisse and in the private equity industry.

In 2014, Jillian became a founding partner of Künzi / MacNab, attorneys at law. In 2020 Jillian became responsible for all legal matters within the Advisory Board of DART.

Jillian is admitted to the Zürich bar and lives near Zurich with her family.
